Did you try emerge --sync? It seems that something is wrong with ${PORTDIR}/sys-kernel/gentoo-sources/Manifest.
Oh hey I just reproduced it from a gentoo-x86 CVS overlay. :) *** Bug 218206 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I get this also. I'm going to try emerge --sync. My error log is identical to that already posted. emerge --sync did not fix the problem.
