Do other alsa apps work? If so this is a kde issue. If not then the kde team is going to have to address this. I don't use kde. Yes, all other sound apps seem to work OK (e.g. mixers, playback and recording). Other sound apps work correctly. This is probably a KDE issue. This bug should be closed. Resolution: To get the system bell working, you also have to check the Audible Bell/Use system bell entry in the Regional & Accessiblity/Accessibility section of the KDE Control Center (which took me a while to figure out.) Lasse You're not the only one who finds the Control Center a bit confusing. :) |
