X-windows is not needed by links. I have had links installed under sevreral
other distro's, and none of them required x-windows for links to function. the
fact that x-windows takes sevral years to compile agravates this problem.
Looking at the links install page
http://atrey.karlin.mff.cuni.cz/~clock/twibright/links/download.html, it does
not require X to run.

1.emerge links


Actual Results:  
x-windows is installed, when it cannot possibly be required

Expected Results:  
not installed x-windows
