During the installation in X environment, the screen goes black due to the "display power management" feature available by default in XFCE. However, in my case, it never comes back (probably due to a buggy driver).
Therefore, I had to hard-reset the machine several times until I disabled the power management.

Maybe it's a good idea to disable the "display power management" for the installation process.

We leave the XFCE configuration at its default, and we have no plans to change this.
