I prefer waiting that upstream put it in the mainstream. As you say that upstream is aware of this. I just thought people who really want jabber file transfer can enable the use flag and see the warning that it's a patch. It doesnt change much in the core code, so if you dont use file transfers it should be as stable as upstream. mail-client/mutt is another example where we have a patch as use flag (sidebar). |
