Bug 217312 – libtool.m4 and ltmain.sh version mismatch prevent wxsvg from compiling

When trying to compile wxsvg from source (non ebuild), the configure script fails with following error:

*** libtool.m4 and ltmain.sh have a version mismatch! ***
*** (libtool.m4 = 1.5.24, ltmain.sh = 1.5.26) ***

  libtoolize --copy --force

if appropriate, please contact the maintainer of this
package (or your distribution) for help.

running recommendend libtoolize does not help. Remerging libtool-1.5.26 did not help either.
 
While I am aware that compiling 3rd party software is not an issue for gentoo bugs, the error claims to be a gentoo sanity check and therefore not really related to the software to be compiled.

either you have local cruft in your pkg directory or you arent running autotools properly.  either way, the error is completely accurate.
