Yes, you need a kernel patch. Work was done, and I have started initial cleanups to get it merged, but still among a few other things on my todo (see roadmap on baselayout mail I sent to lists some time back). Hello. Thanks for the information. I found your email and read the roadmap. Is the kernel patch you mention available and if so from where can I get it? Thank you for the excellent work on baselayout. I look forward to contributing by testing future releases and also to a working silent splash and progress bar implementation. all kernels for bootsplash support silent, its useless until the init scripts support this. >> its useless until the init scripts support this.
That's exactly my point. There is no mention of kernels here. My bug title refers to baselayout (init script) modification. Is this too distant in the future?
