Just released obex-data-server-0.3.2. It's one more bugfix release API compatible with 0.3. Many serious memleaks were fixed and OBEX FTP now works with crippled Nokia devices. No build changes, just bump the version. obex-data-server-0.3.3 released. obex-data-server-0.3.4 released 3 months ago. From http://wiki.muiline.com/obex-data-server "News * obex-data-server 0.4.1 (2008/10/25 22:01) * obex-data-server 0.4 (2008/10/17 17:54) * obex-data-server 0.3.4 (2008/07/21 20:23) * obex-data-server 0.3.3 (2008/06/27 20:28) * obex-data-server 0.3.2 (2008/06/25 22:12) Looking forward to some newness in Portage here. :) I'm using obex-data-server 0.3.4 in a production environment for about a month now. It's under heavy use and proves itself to be stable. We should definitely add it to the tree. Bumping the 0.3.2 ebuild to 0.3.4 works flawless. Note: The obex-data-server 0.4 series is API incompatible with the 0.3 series. But the 0.3 series does not support bluez 4. I asked the upstream author to become a proxy maintainer and he originally was positive about it but haven't heard from him since. obex-data-server 0.4.2 is in portage (thanks to Alin Năstac). those who need 0.3 series can stick to 0.3.2 (stable enough). others should upgrade to 0.4.2 Though 0.3.2 is stable enough it contains two very bad bugs which are fixed 0.3.4: 1) Sends garbled filenames to remote devices (UTF16 conversion bug) 2) Leaves some sockets opened So I would recommend bumping 0.3.2 to 0.3.4 anyway. |
