Unable to reproduce, I'd have to look at the config.log to know what the problem is. Nevermind I was testing the wrong version, Alexis fixed this bug in ~arch in January, asking for a stable for the new version - for which I just changed a few bugs though. Last arch feel free to drop -r0 and its patch. However, the .wav plugin does not seem to be able to play .wav files for me, and the audiocd plugin gives a strange name for what it wants to play, then does read the cd, and plays silence. I know it can read the cdrom because (1) I can see it, (2) it gets the track and timing information correct. I know it can actually play things, because it plays an .ogg file correctly. So, I'm holding of on marking it stable for the moment, pending further testing. Actually, I can get a Bus error: This does it for me --- mpfc http://htc-01.media.qualitytech.com/COMP005996MOD1/wqxr.pls (or anything with .pls extension) I can also reproduce the bus error when trying to play an mp3 file on sparc. When trying to play an ogg file it says "Input plugin for file filename.ogg failed" though I did set USE="vorbis". Sparc will decline the invitation to mark this stable for now. ups, didn't mean to remove sparc (In reply to comment #9) > I can also reproduce the bus error when trying to play an mp3 file on sparc. then revert to ~sparc the old one, or -sparc if it sucks that bad as it probably is not a regression. i've dropped the sparc keyword, if some user requests it we'll readd it if it works. ppc stable. closing since we're last. |
