new .ebuild for OpenAFS 1.2.9
Version bump to 1.2.9 This version also fixes the bug the GLSA 200303-26 was about, which lead to unmasking OpenAFS 1.3.2-r1. Since this version is rather unstable and won't compile properly for most users I'd suggest masking 1.3.2-r1 again and use 1.2.9 as current stable version. This fixes most open bugs for OpenAFS. Just tested the 1.2.9 ebuild on 2.4.20-gentoo-r5. Compiled, installed, and ran with no problems. *Please* mask the bogus 1.3.2 ebuild. 1.3.x was never stable; it's no longer even available on the OpenAFS website. People who don't know that are just going to waste time watching it fail, and submitting even more bug reports. Why hasn't this been commited to the tree yet? I'm still seeing 1.3.2 trying to emerge over 1.2.8. |
OpenAFS-1.3.2 wants to emerge itself over 1.2.8. "emerge -p openafs" reports it as being unslotted ("U-"). (1.3.2 is the now-defunct development branch of OpenAFS, not maintained for a while)
