post the full build log as an attachment instead of as a comment. comments destroy the output. you'll also have to go into the build dir and execute: ./testsuite -v >& log and then post the log file as an attachment Created attachment 149450 [details]

err testsuite. Running with no ARCH set in make.conf and so far it is installing. But willing to ~x86. The vm is mine to play with at present. And nothing important on it. Had to recreate this as I had installed CentOS on it. I'll leave it like this a few days. info requested is posted re-opening. vm / # /usr/bin/arch -k i686 vm / # /usr/convex/getsysinfo -bash: /usr/convex/getsysinfo: No such file or directory vm / # /usr/bin/hostinfo -bash: /usr/bin/hostinfo: No such file or directory vm / # /bin/machine -bash: /bin/machine: No such file or directory vm / # /usr/bin/oslevel -bash: /usr/bin/oslevel: No such file or directory vm / # /bin/universe -bash: /bin/universe: No such file or directory vm / # /bin/uname -X /bin/uname: invalid option -- X Try `/bin/uname --help' for more information. Problem with the testsuite? no, those errors are normal yes ;) I understand they don't exist. However vm / # /usr/bin/arch -k i686 did return something besides 'unknown' and the 'uname -X' was an invalid option that preceded it the output from those commands are irrelevant ... error or not this error shouldnt have happened: +./configure: line 1652: echo: write error: Broken pipe post the output of `emerge bash -pv` vm / # emerge bash -pv These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies... done! Moved on from the profile long ago no longer using this image stage3-2006.0 This was and afaik is still the image provided in co-lo/vps situations the last time I used those services for gentoo vps and installs. If your using this image feel free to re-open. |
