Description Christian Korff 2008-04-06 14:36:25 UTC
I tried compiling openssh and ran into undefined reference problems.
I found out that this happens if openssl was compiled with the kerberos use flag and openssh gets compiled with the static use flag.
As the last stable (for Gentoo) version of app-crypt/mit-krb5 doesn't support static libs either mit-krb5 must be fixed to support static libs or we need a check in openssh's ebuild and any other package which offers static linking.

Latest stable mit-krb5 is 1.6.3-r1 and _not_ 1.5.3-r1. Please sync your tree. Despite that I was able to reproduce the problem with mit-krb5. I'll have a look on it.

Runs fine here. Probably fixed some time during the last 2 years. Closing.
