Bug 21617 – Patch gentoo-sources to include new IBM ServeRAID driver

Please patch Gentoo sources to include the new IBM ServeRAID driver. All files
are included in attached tar ball. The patch file can be applied to a vanilla
2.4.20, or alternatively, just copy over ips.c, ips.h and copy README to
README.serverraid in /usr/src/linux/drivers/scsi/

Patching the installer kernel would be benificial as well

NOTE: Please include ASAP as major fixes are included in this driver.

NOTE: ServeRAID 6 card is now available. This patch should be added ASAP (it is part of kernel.org sources 2.4.21 now) as the hardware is now in the market.

the ips driver is slated for gentoo-sources. if you need it now, use the 
pfeifer-sources-2.4.21_pre2. This is my testing bed for gentoo-sources. Everythings seems 
pretty well stable in the latest pfeifer-sources.

i'm also putting out some bug fixes to 2.4.20 stuff. namely a 2.4.20-r6 - i'll include this for 2.4.20 users as well.

there is a bump to the 2.4.21 - it's pre3 now - since i assume you have this hardware - won't you please test pfeifer-sources-2.4.21_pre3? i have no know record of this hardware being tested on it.

Was this actually fixed in gentoo-sources-2.4.20-r6? If so, shouldn't this bug have been closed?
