When running drbd-8.0.11 for the first time and it starts to sync devices the init.d script produces an error:

"* Become primary if configured Child process does not terminate!"

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge drbd drbd-kernel
2.configure drbd device
3.start /etc/init.d/drbd

Please have a look where the ebuild stems from, before you file a bug. There is no drdb package in the Gentoo repository.

what you mean this one doesn't exist ;-)

# emerge -s drbd

Ah sorry. Probably a "ls -d */foobra" typo, which lead me to the assumption.
Comment 4 Richard Scott 2008-04-08 13:40:27 UTC
This is more of a feature of the way drbd operates rather than a bug in a gentoo script! ;-)

It only seems to happen when bringing up a secondary node that then has to sync with the primary node as it boots.

It seems that the sync process is the child process that doesn't terminate.

We could most likely close this bug?
