baselayout searches PATH now *** Bug 217077 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 232072 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** This is not fixed and hits me on stable ppc, because we've got sys-apps/baselayout-1.12.11.1 sys-apps/kbd-1.14.1-r1 there. x86 still has sys-apps/kbd-1.13-r1 with the old paths... It's only fixed in sys-apps/baselayout-1.12.12, which is not stable yet. Can we get it fixed in 1.12.11.1, too? (Was that just forgotten?) I guess, otherwise hell will break loose if sys-apps/kbd-1.14.1-r1 goes stable on x86/amd64... (In reply to comment #8) > sys-apps/kbd-1.15 is stable (on amd64), as well as > sys-apps/baselayout-1.12.11.1, reopening since still applies. > I can confirm this. I'm on amd64 with those packages-releases and I get the error originally reported (i.e., no nice terminus-font gets loaded :-( ). Noncritical, so I'll patiently wait for a fix. If I can help by testing the ~1.12.12 version of baselayout, please tell me (otherwise I'll stay stable). Same issue on my AMD64 after emerge uD world (In reply to comment #10) > Same issue on my AMD64 after emerge uD world > simply do a "ln -s /usr/bin/loadkeys /bin/loadkeys" and then " /etc/init.d/keymaps restart * Loading key mappings ... [ ok ] * Setting terminal encoding to UTF-8 ... [ ok ] " works for me on amd64 Bump. Just got bitten by this (x86) with kbd-1.15. Is there a reason the moving/symlinking to /bin step in the install phase has been removed from ebuilds later than kbd-1.13-r1? Also, how is baselayout relevant to the breakage here? Yeah, I'm getting this this is fixed already in current stable How do I fix this? I'm still getting this, I have kbd 1.15 but no loadkeys anywhere that I see. |
