When I try to install foo2zjs it fails because it can't find manual.pdf.

can you please give the full compilation output? Looks much like you are missing the tool to generate the manual.pdf

Well, I can't reproduce the error anymore. It seems that ps2pdf didn't work the time I emerged it. I remember that I ran revdep-rebuild for some gnutls stuff after, so there was the problem.
