Description Michal Majchrowicz 2008-03-27 18:14:56 UTC
Some machines (old ones or partially damaged) do not have usb, cdrom and floppy. As a result the only option to install linux is to use apps like laodlin or grub4dos. Unfortunatelly since Gentoo's Live/Install CDs are not build with fat32/ntfs support compiled in kernel you have to use different distro or old release. Recently I had installed Gentoo on such machine and I had to download Gentoo 2004.3 as described here: http://marc.herbert.free.fr/linux/win2linstall.html

Reproducible: Always

OK, since this could only possibly be supported properly on amd64/x86, I've gone ahead and made these built-in rather than modules.

This should be fixed in 2008.0, which is now released.
