I just tried this application out and I think it been forgotten about.  pdf2html rasterizes images to display on the web.  Thing is its designed for a specific purpose.  When used it makes a webpage with a black border and has a h1 title that says, "Lecture Notes".  Probably not of much use to anyone.

app-text/poppler provides pdftohtml, among others. Upstream for this is gone as well.

it appears to work fine here, plus I've fixed bug #152263

it makes a webpage containing png's of each page of the pdf which is probably a good idea to keep around in case someone needs it and no issue is raised.
pdftohtml tended to suck on my tests :/
