As of 05/18/03 the gnome-base/gnome-1.4-r3 ebuild depends on gnome-base/gdm
prior to 2.4.  The actual tree contains only gnome-base/gdm-2.4.0.12-r2 and later.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge \<gnome-base/gnome-2.0.0
2.
3.
Actual Results:  
emerge: there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to satisfy "<gnome-base/gdm-2.4".

Expected Results:  
Install Gnome prior to version 2.0

hmm probably my mistake.. should resurrect the gtk1 gdm ebuild

you can look it up currently via the webcvs on the homepage
