Description Anthony Presley 2008-03-01 02:24:46 UTC
The portage tree is not fully updated to texlive, so it was hard to emerge certain software. However, if I overlay ebuilds with copies which depend on texlive build succeeds, and everything is happy. (Just to think: Removing the overlay would break emerge!)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Turn on the "doc" use flag
2.Try to emerge app-crypt/mit-krb5
3 Texlive id blocking Tetex, which kerberos depends on

Actual Results:
tetex is blocking texlive

Expected Results:
for mit-krb5 to not depend on tetex in the first place, even with the doc useflag

emerge --info has too much to fit in my xterm. But I do have a tidbit. When I created a personal overlay to change the ebuild, changing the dependency from app-text/tetex or virtual/tetex, to virtual/tatex-base, it worked. I believe the dependency info needs updating.

texlive-core does NOT provide virtual/tetex
