hi, i assume the right version was 0.2.6 i just had this error too, it looks like: "(...)Function luaL_openlib was replaced by luaL_register(...)" If you use the flag "deprecated" with lua, freepops will emerge fine. (In reply to comment #3) > hi, > > i assume the right version was 0.2.6 Correct, my bad :) I'll fix the subject line for future reference. > i just had this error too, it looks like: > "(...)Function luaL_openlib was replaced by luaL_register(...)" > If you use the flag "deprecated" with lua, freepops will emerge fine. Thanks, it worked here as well. But then I suppose the real bug is that the freepops ebuild does not complain that lua was emerged without the deprecated flag? i'd say, strictly speaking, the bug is that freepops doesn't use the undeprecated API of LUA Notified freepops author. It will be fixed in next release. In the meantime I've added portage checks for the deprecated USE flag with lua. Thanks for your help and the bug report. |
