If you create a .tar archive in file-roller using gnu tar >= 1.19 it gives you
the following warning:
tar: This does not look like a tar archive
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

I found this upstream bug:

And the attached patch fixes the issue

This is a bug in tar and not file-roller. The upstream patch should be reverted.
