![]() I think this thing is about ready to be treecleaned. Okay let's put it this way: the bug was opened 1 year and 1/4 ago... we have an half broken package. This goes fixed or goes away before end of summer, okay? Okay I also confirmed that just having this installed is enough for the safecheck of pam to fail. Which means this goes package.masked _right now_ and somebody can fix or last rite it this month. your comment can't be serious !!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "media-tv/zapping" have been masked. !!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request: - media-tv/zapping-0.10_rc6 (masked by: package.mask, ~x86 keyword) /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask: # Diego E. Pettenò <flameeyes@gentoo.org> (05 Jun 2009) # Broken PAM setup, causes sys-libs/pam to fail install because of # pam_console requirements. See bug #210820. Fix it or punt it, it's # not my problem. Given it will stop a system package from installing when it's merged in, if nobody fixes it I'm going to remove it. If you use it and want to keep it, then you're welcome to propose a fix. (In reply to comment #5) > Given it will stop a system package from installing when it's merged in, if > nobody fixes it I'm going to remove it. > > If you use it and want to keep it, then you're welcome to propose a fix. > In general, I would replace the "it's not my problem" part of the message with "Critical to fix before unmasking" or something.
