Bug 210078 – rt73usb kernel driver does not work

I upgraded to gentoo-sources-2.6.24-r2 today and decided to give the in-kernel usb wireless driver a shot.  It compiled fine but when I try to run it, initialize the interface, I get a screwy error:

This is the first time I have tried to use this driver so I am not sure what the problem is.

Clearly you've been playing with SMP support in kernel but looks like you didn't recompile the kernel modules?
