Bug 210069

Summary: app-office/openoffice-2.3.1-r1 can't find JDK
Product: Gentoo Linux Reporter: Santiago Gala <sgala>
Component: New packagesAssignee: Gentoo Linux bug wranglers <bug-wranglers>
Status: RESOLVED DUPLICATE
Severity: normal
Priority: High
Version: unspecified
Hardware: AMD64
OS: Linux
Whiteboard:
Package list:
Runtime testing required: ---

Description Santiago Gala 2008-02-14 05:45:23 UTC
It persists giving the following message, even if it finds the different jdks correctly:

file:///opt/sun-jdk-1.6.0/jre/lib/amd64/server/libjvm.so.[Java framework]sunjavaplugin.so could not load Java runtime library:

Creating /opt/sun-jdk-1.6.0 as a link to /opt/sun-jdk-1.6.0.04 makes it happy

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
nothing related to java runs, it shows a dialog about something failing loading java.

Expected Results:
java is initialized

The workaround I posted works. I guess there is a bug in the scripts looking for java during runtime.

Why is it a duplicate? in the other bug the path printed is correct, here it is missing the last part after the dot.
