This is a known issue already fixed in git. This patch fixes it: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/nigelc/tuxonice-head.git;a=commitdiff_plain;h=c43ab8880c53f2acb55be4614ce97b8c9d3664c2

Without this patch, the userui doesn't get started properly. I expect others have been hit by this, too. Could you add this to the ebuilds?
