Description Andreas K. Hüttel archtester gentoo-dev 2008-02-10 13:56:49 UTC
The default dbus config file of powersaved, /etc/dbus-1/system.d/powersave.conf, is copied without changes (I guess) from SuSE. It assumes that every normal user is member of a "users" group. Based on this, it gives e.g. kpowersave the permission to connect to powersaved.

This makes no sense on Gentoo (since there is no "users" group by default), and kpowersave cannot connect to the daemon.

Could you please change the default setting to something more sensible?!

Thanks in advance!
