The smokeping ebuild partially installs itself into apache but does not leave a working configuration (module conf installed for modperl, but nothing installed into vhosts to make it accessible).  At the end of the install it lists additional steps to take to have a working system, but no mention is made of what edits are necessary to have a working apache config.  The scripts are at least partially renamed from the distributed version (smokeping.cgi -> smokeping.pl) further frustrating attempts to find documentation of how to configure apache to make it work.

1. install smokeping
2. try to access it on web

Actual Results:  
403 access denied

Expected Results:  
smokeping web page

If the author finds it too difficult to create an ebuild that produces a working apache config, maybe a bit of documentation as to how it should be done manually would be a good compromise.

Ebuild are not documentation; read the documentation provided with the package. If you have some non-abstract suggestions, then post them here and reopen. Thanks.
