When trying to emerge nautilus-2.2.3, the first set of many syntax errors
appearing is

gcc syntax errors appear to be related to BonoboObjectClass type.

 i noticed COMPILER is not set in your emerge info, i'm not sure that is relevant. And that you use gcc2, i think that can be the problem here. I'll have to test it.

can you try nautilus 2.2.4 btw in ~ , if that solves the problem i don't need to investigate 2.2.3
