The last rsync was "Tue, 03 Jun 2003 03:00:00 +0000" and should
have been 03:30. Can you check for errors and confirm that ntp
is running?

Thanks.
Comment 2 Bryan OShea 2003-06-03 08:16:26 UTC
I am running ntp and synching every 30 minutes to rsync5.us.gentoo.org. I have no errors in my log files and it shows correctly synching every 30 minutes. Also I see no rsyncd activity for Jun 03, 2003 in my logs.

I've added 66.132.32.20 to the access list for rsync1.us.gentoo.org.
Please update your rsync cron jobs to point to rsync1.us.gentoo.org
and post back here when you've done so. We'll monitor the server
for a couple days to make sure things are working fine and then add
it to the rotation.

Also, I'd like to verify the upstream connection, max users, cpu and
RAM.

Thanks.

Added rsync1.us.gentoo.org as my rsync server.
We have dual DS3 3mb/6mb connections here at Totalink.
I have rsync server currently set to 10 user limit; can increase if needed.
Server is a dual 500mhz xeon with 256MB ram 26gb scsi raid.

thanks

66.132.32.20 is now rsync20.us.gentoo.org. You should start seeing some
activity soon.

I've subscribed <bryan05@totalink.net> to our gentoo-mirrors mailing
list (low volume). This list is used to discuss mirror-related issues.

Thanks for supporting Gentoo.
