x11-plugins/karamba_news-panel is missing two dependencies: 
dev-perl/HTML-Parser 
dev-perl/libwww-perl 
Additionaly the perl script rdf.pl should be placed in $KDEDIR/bin instead of adding karamba/bin 
to the $PATH. 
Still the news-panel is not working for me. So if somewhere is out there, who know how to get 
it working. Please tell me.

Same thing here:
bash-2.05b$ python /usr/share/karamba/themes/news_panel/slashdot.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/share/karamba/themes/news_panel/slashdot.py", line 12, in ?
    import karamba
ImportError: No module named karamba

After emerge karamba-news_panel

Also access rights are not ok: all *.py files in /usr/share/karamba/themes/news_panel miss the +x
