Description Stephen Kirkby 2008-01-18 10:10:14 UTC
When I play a DVD in Xine with an AC3 soundtrack, it doesn't get passed through and results in a silent playback. Playing back MPEG2 soundtracks works fine.

I've isolated the problem to the 'jack' USE flag - removing references to jack and add the '--disable-jack' cures the problem. This worked back in 1.1.4.

Comment 1 Stephen Kirkby 2008-01-21 10:22:56 UTC
I can confirm that ebuild xine-lib-1.1.9.1-r1 does not have this issue - likely because this ebuild doesn't use jack and has '-jack' in the IUSE.
Comment 2 Alexis Ballier gentoo-dev 2008-10-22 09:05:11 UTC
please try with 1.1.15 and also make sure enabling jack doesn't set your output to jack which could lead to such problems.
Comment 3 Stephen Kirkby 2008-12-01 09:14:17 UTC
I can confirm that it does work with xine-lib version 1.1.15, even when compiling with the 'jack' use flag.
