overrides #19967 ;)
since 0.4.7.1 crashed only once or twice during last two weeks,
and 0.4.8 is supposed to be a bugfix release, it is problably 
worth checking (last release before major 0.5.0).

Not to be picky (as the author of bug #15825 (net-rb 0.4.5 through 0.4.7.1 and now 0.4.8) and an acquaitance of the net-rb author himself), but I cannot even breathe for 24 hours after a release before another ebuild comes out that is quite different dependancy-wise and command-wise from what I've spent hours working on and tweaking.

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm not saying I'm right. It just would be nice if we got along better instead of writing a flurry of contradictory ebuilds to see who was the first within 24 hours to write one, each seemingly either having or lacking random things :)

(Perhaps a Bugzilla bug searching/writing style guide is in order?)

what's your point?
i'm not trying to get in anybody's way, if that is what you meant.
no racing, no 'first!' - that's for kids. the devs check the ebuilds
to cvs anyway, if they're worth anything.
i've seen 0.4.5 ebuild (#15825) a while ago, i noticed it has issues
and simply forgot about it. when 0.4.7.1 was out i made myself a local
ebuild and tried it out. it worked for me, so after a while, i posted
it here. same goes for 0.4.8.
if you think it lacks some deps, let's try to fix it. just like you say:
"It just would be nice if we got along".
