Gtksourceview is a text widget library that extends the standard Gtk+ 2.x
GtkTextView, f.e. enables syntax highliting in Gnome apps.
this one was released with unstable gedit 2.3.1, but as a library is quite
mature and might be useful for Gtk+ developers.

i have an ebuild locally, but it wont go in until something really depends on it.
