While running the GUI installer from the 700mb LiveCD, the install failed, this is a copy/paste from the last part of the log file:

Don't do a non-networkless install with the snapshot on the CD. We don't keep distfiles on the mirrors for packages that haven't been in the tree for 8+ months.
