Thanks for reporting this. The gatech.edu mirror has been overloaded for quite some time, and not just because of Gentoo. (They host several other mirrors as well) Unfortunately, short of adding more bandwidth, there's not much that can be done to resolve the problem. gatech.edu is a source mirror, which isn't subject to the same level of repetitive abuse as rsync mirrors are -- you generally only have to download a distfile once. This particular source mirror is just very, very busy. So, we do appreciate you reporting the problem. We just can't do anything to fix it. :) (short of convincing gatech.edu to buy more bandwidth.) Obsolete bug, closing. |
