while installing a 2007.0 based gentoo
emerging glproto-1.4.9 failed with message '/usr/bin/sed' not found, but sed-4.1.5 is installed.
Adding a manual link to /bin/sed resolves the problem.

Reopen with full emerge.log and emerge --info, there's no reference to sed whatsover plus it works just fine here.
