Description Daniel Tourde 2003-05-02 19:46:48 UTC
Hello,

I read the threads from Jan 2003 dealing with GNAT for GCC 3.2 (and especially
it's buggy nature). Has things changed since then? Will a gcc-3.2.2 based Gnat
(The Ada front-end for GCC) be integreted to Gentoo 1.4?

Reproducible: Always

Sorry, I did not see there was a GCC 3 group...

It is still buggy. GNAT only submits patches to gcc rarely.
It would be much better to use their CVS-version of GNAT5 (which uses gcc 3) since it is updated daily.
Personally I don't think you should use ada with gcc at all since the gcc people only wanted ada support because they could, not because anyone was interested in it. ACT is doing all the patches for them, so their release will always be more stable.
