I installed GEGL 0.0.12 from
http://roslin.kicks-ass.net/download/gentoo/overlay

with paludis -i gimp-9999 or emerge gimp-9999 I still got: 
[...]
checking for GEGL... no
configure: error: Test for GEGL failed. Please get it from http://gegl.org/

Why the dev writes into the configure:
 { (echo "$as_me:$LINENO: \$PKG_CONFIG --exists --print-errors \"gegl >= 0.0.14\"") >&5
but as echo only:
"Test for GEGL failed. Please get it from http://gegl.org"?
Should be more detailed.
