Cannot import Tkinter from python.


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
$ python
Python 2.4.4 (#1, Dec 19 2007, 00:17:15)
[GCC 4.1.2 (Gentoo 4.1.2)] on linux2
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> import Tkinter
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<stdin>", line 1, in ?
  File "/usr/lib/python2.4/lib-tk/Tkinter.py", line 38, in ?
    import _tkinter # If this fails your Python may not be configured for Tk
ImportError: No module named _tkinter

BTW, this only occurs with amd64. x86 works as expected.

Do you have dev-tcltk/blt installed?

Yes, both on my x86 and amd64.

# notrash emerge -p blt

I had (re)emerged tcl, tk and python without any success.

Now I (re)emerged tcl, tk, blt and python and the problem went away!
So it's working now.
