i dont know if it fits here, but does the ebuild really need the dev-libs/iksemel dependency? i found nothing with ldd libgloox* or in the /usr/include/gloox files that suggests iksemel is needed.

mmm indeed works fine without, removing the dep.

a) file new bugs for different issues
b) if the current ebuild just needs to be copied to new version, say so

I'm 100% busy with uni stuff this week, just glance over mail from time to time, so I wouldn't mind if you really file the bug so I don't forget to do it after my round of exams ;)
