this version has been around since may. i think it should be included in portage already. the problem might be lack of a direct download link; there link i gave is just a download off the forums (perhaps someone mirrors it)

also, the homepage changed to http://www.psx-scene.com/hdldump/ , but it does not reflect 0.9.0 version, though. 

i built the application by hand and it works, when i install the hdd drive directly in my pc.

there are issues with connecting via network to the console, but it might be caused by the fact that i was running server application that came with hdl_dump 0.8.6 package and not current 0.9.0. that still remains to be tested.

Here's an ebuild for that version. It uses the forum attachment as the SRC_URI, which isn't ideal but it works okay and it's the best we've got. This version works for me as long as I start networking in uLaunchELF first. Others have found the same. I'll stick with this one but some people seem to prefer the older version so maybe we should keep that one around for now.
