Description David Li 2003-04-29 21:55:43 UTC
Sorry, I am a bit new to some of this. Please bear with me.

I get an error message when running "emerge system".
I started with a stage 1 installation. The optimizations in make.conf I used
were "-march="pentium3" -03 -fomit-frame-pointer -finline-functions -funroll-
loops".

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install gentoo linux 1.4 RC 2 following installation guide
2. Do a stage 1 installation
3. Use optimazaitons "-march="pentium3" -03 -fomit-frame-pointer -finline-
functions -funroll-loops
4. Do bootstrap.sh and emerge system.
Actual Results:
ebuild.sh: glib-1.2.10-r5.ebuild: line 28: unexpected EOF while looking for
matching `"'
ebuild.sh: glib-1.2.10-r5.ebuild: line 42: syntax error: unexpected end of file
!!! Function, line 1041, Exit code 1
!!! Error sourcing ebuild

Expected Results:
No error message

I am not sure if this is related, but when I run "emerge sync", I get this error
:
aux_get(): (0) Error in app-emulation/pose-3.5 ebuild

verified that these files download and validate correctly on my system and another test system. Are you still seeing this problem?

(closing bug as worksforme -- please reopen if you're still able to reproduce the problem and please list what source mirror you're downloading from)
