Ebuild for the 0.702 version

Description Anton Romanov 2007-12-10 14:27:46 UTC
Tile Racer is a freeware 3D stunt racing game which features realistic car physics and an in game track editor to create new maps to race on. At the moment the players are able to race for the best lap time but a hotseat splitscreen mode and an AI enemy to race against are in the works. The game was started by two students at the university of applied sciences in hagenberg / upper austria and is now being further developed and maintained by them after graduation.

There is an overlay for Tileracer:

There's new version out, 0.7. If anyone is interested I've attached my previous ebuild.

Ebuild for the 0.702 version

I finally upgraded tileracer-bin, here is ebuild modified for the 0.702 version. There are two problems:
1) License? Maybe ask the authors. AFAIK they say it is closed source, but no license mentioned.
2) SRC_URI. I have not managed to find _sane_ (as opposed to http://tileracer.model-view.com/mirrordownload.php?file=TileRacer0.702.tar.gz) url of the tarball. So you have to download it manually. RESTRICT="mirror" is commented out because I use local mirrors on the home network.

I am not sure there is a chance to get tileracer-bin in the tree. It is a binary bitch with plenty of bundled libraries.
