I think a look at what is happening is the best answer here

very short time after connection
# ls -l /etc/resolv.conf ; cat /etc/resolv.conf

nameserver 213.157.188.164
nameserver 213.157.188.162
one lonely second later

my options for ppp0 from /etc/conf.d/net
pppd_ppp0=( "updetach" "defaultroute" "usepeerdns" )

so shortly said pppd reads the correct settings and then flushes them

Reproducible: Always




stable hardened amd64 gentoo, no modified ebuilds, everything is default, let me know if you need more info on this

Post the output of `sed -e 's/#.*//;/^\s*$/d' /etc/conf.d/net`, emerge --info and reopen then. Thanks.

Well, your configuration is obviously incorrect, you are overwriting the DNS info and others yourself. See http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-amd64.xml?part=4&chap=3#doc_chap4
