Description Sumit Khanna 2007-12-04 14:51:21 UTC
When I ssh into my router I get the following:

Password:
bash: relocation error: bash: symbol ariable_help_doc, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference

An emerge world was run last night on the box and I have logs kept on a separate server. I'm remotely away from my system so I'll have to add to this bug report when I get home. I don't have any users that don't use bash, so I'm pretty sure I'll need to either use a bootCD or pass an init=/bin/tcsh to the kernel to get to the prompt again. I'll post my emerge log and emerge info later today.

Reproducible: Always

will post later when I get home

Well, reopen with emerge --info and bash version at least when you are ready.

Bug magically disappeared after a reboot.
