emelfm2-0.3.6.ebuild
Can you try this ebuild? I've changed my hardware to ~amd64 and emelfm2 isn't keyworded for ~amd64, and when I tried, it segmentation faults.
I'm currently using this ebuild on an intel 32bit machine (Pentium M) and it seems to work. At least I didn't get emelfm2 to segfault. Going to try the ebuild on my 64bit machine in the next week. Appearently the bug I mentioned before was not completly fixed, so I might want to talk about it again on the mailing list :-( I have succesfully build the application on my 64bit machine, an AMD Athlon64 3500+. emelfm2 starts up and I can do regular work. No crashes. Anything new? I'm still using your supplied ebuild and emelfm2 works like a charm. No major problems so far. (In reply to comment #4) > Anything new? No major problems so far. > I'm hoping someone with ~x86 hardware would add the ebuild, which is why I assigned this bug to desktop-misc team. I can't get it to work on my ~amd64. Hmm, most of the time I'm using my laptop system (with a Celeron-M 32bit CPU) but I didn't encounter any segfaults when using emelfm2 0.3.6 on my 64bit based system. Maybe you can trace the segfault and report this to the developers. The devs have also posted a patch against 0.3.6 on their website: http://emelfm2.net/OtherDownLoads?action=AttachFile&do=get&target=e2-0.3.6-07-12-01.patch.bz2 Maybe you need this one to elimate the segfault? I think it's worth a try. Could be also something to be integrated in 0.3.6-r1 :-) Going to ask my friend to test this ebuild on his system (another 32bit setup), so we can at least call this ~x86. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 217039 *** |
