 * Tools->Options...->Interface->Start

This message has always bugged me. Is it possible to disable auto-update in a global config, or with some simple patch? If not, maybe this should be taken upstream.

I think the option affects both azureus and plugins update? You could want to update plugins local to the user (~/.azureus/plugins) why not be bugged about system updates (azureus, swt...) I think something used to be in the patchset from fedora, dunno exactly...
