![]() We only package the hplip driver with very few modifications. And I have a lot of trouble believing one of the modifications we do is responsible for one switch to not retain the value you set it to, whereas the others do. So I'm going to suggest you file a bug with upstream about this. On the other hand I have very little knowledge of how the thing works. Thus if upstream decides it's a Gentoo specific issue I will look into it. However I need a lot more than capitalized words to proceed. I need info like: - do you have the same problem with other versions of hplip ? - what printer ? - emerge --info - hp-check Sorry about this, but my crystal ball stopped working a long time ago and nobody fixed it.
