Not gnome. The Gentoo backend does not support ppp connections, patches welcome. (In reply to comment #2) > The Gentoo backend does not support ppp connections, patches welcome. > Is it acceptable to call /etc/net.ppp* from the nm-backend to take the ppp interface up and down? Or would it be better to parse the connection information in /etc/conf.d/net and start up pppd directly? Or would it be better to parse the connection > information in /etc/conf.d/net and start up pppd directly? > Obviously, I meant /etc/init.d/net.ppp* The way 0.6.5 and 0.6.6 do it, I would say "maybe" - the proper way is the way that 0.7 is doing it. Unfortunately, I have just had almost no free time to do anything Gentoo, or FOSS in general related recently - Thank you for the email Steve to remind me about this bug. I am glad you are willing to work on this (unfortunately, I don't have any type of dialup access available to me anymore) Is this bug still relevant? 0.7.x is in the tree now and support ppp connections. Seems that this could be closed :-/ (In reply to comment #7) > Seems that this could be closed :-/ > Closing then |
